About
The Muslim League, known also as the All-India Muslim League, was founded in Dhaka, Bengal after the partition of Bengal, in recognition of the need for a political party that represented Muslim interests in British India. A London branch was set up by Syed Ameer Ali in 1908. The Muslim League played a major role in the creation of Pakistan led by Mohammed Ali Jinnah.
